Dr. Mehul Bhansali is a highly experienced and accomplished Surgical Oncologist with over 36 years in the field. He is currently serving as the Director of the Department of Surgical Oncology at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre in Mumbai. Additionally, he holds the position of Honorary Professor of Surgical Oncology at Cama & Albless Hospital (Sir J. J. Group of Hospitals), Mumbai, since 1997.

Dr. Bhansali completed his MBBS and MS (General Surgery) at King Edward Memorial Hospital & Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College, Mumbai. He further pursued a DNB in Surgical Oncology and underwent advanced training at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai (1988-1996). His international fellowships include specialized training in Oesophageal Cancer Surgery at Kurume University School of Medicine, Japan, and Oesophageal & Gastrointestinal Surgery at Queen Mary Hospital, University of Hong Kong.

He is a well-respected expert in various oncological procedures and has contributed significantly to research, with multiple publications in national and international journals. His work in cancer treatment has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the S R Joglekar Gold Medal (1993) and the C V Menon Gold Medal (1994) for outstanding scientific contributions.
